Accessibility

We are located within Orkney Street Enterprise Centre. There is a disabled parking space at the rear of the building. There is a bell at an accessible height to buzz. Someone form our reception will come and open the automatic door to allow you access.

We have an accessible toilet to better accommodate those with a disability.

We also have an accessible interview room with automatic door etc.

Our premises have been adapted to be as COVID friendly as possible.

We are undergoing a redesign of our website to make it more accessible to people in a required format. Please be patient whilst these changes are under construction. We apologise for any inconvenience in the meantime.

Money Matters has a wealth of knowledge and has been operating a successful advice centre since 1990.

Money Matters has adopted a holistic approach to dealing with advice issues.

Our Welfare Rights service includes representation at Social Security and Disability appeal hearings. We are pro-active at providing in-work benefits advice such as Universal Credit, Housing Costs, Support for Mortgage Interest and Council Tax Reduction.

Money Matters has an excellent reputation for delivering a service to clients and have a proven track record at working at a highly skilled level thus ensuring a quality service provision.

Money Matters has a reputation for being proactive and quick to respond to changes within the city with innovative solutions e.g., our number of in-house language skills offered. However, interpreters are available via face to face or via the telephone. If you require an interpreter either language or BSL, please let us know and we will arrange this. Alternatively, if you would like us to communicate with you in a different format, please let us know.

Welfare Rights Service

Our Welfare Rights service includes representation at Social Security and Disability appeal hearings. We are pro-active at providing in-work benefits advice such as Universal Credit, Housing Costs, Support for Mortgage Interest and Council Tax Reduction.

Due to the increases in energy costs and the cost-of-living crisis, many people will find making payments to creditors unmanageable. If you need to see one of our money advisers, please contact us and ask for an appointment with one of our debt advisers who will advise you on a list of options available to you and assist you to deal with your debt issues.

Financial Capability Service

Money Matters offers a Financial Capability Service offering one to one and Group information and advice sessions in Glasgow.

Here are a few examples of the types of information that can be offered by our Financial Capability Service:
• managing money with confidence
• moving frombenefits into employment
• budgeting, saving, debt
prevention
• affordable credit
• economical options for paying bills

We also have energy awareness sessions to offeressential information on heating your home effectively and saving money on your fuel costs. If you would like to know more about this service please contact our reception at the Money Matters Advice Centre.
